Ensure Optimum Print Quality and Avoid Image Quality Issues in your Xerox Machine
Have you ever noticed how sometimes the image/document is smudged in your photocopy, or in general is not in good quality? The culprit here could be the dirty glass in your Xerox machine.
Many image quality problems, like lines, spots, smudges, deletions, are caused by dirty platen glass or Constant Velocity Transport (CVT) glass. The CVT is the strip of glass on the left side of the main document glass. This can be solved by getting the glass cleaned just once a month!
When was the last time you cleaned the glass? Or have you ever cleaned the glass? If your answer is no, it’s time you get it cleaned.
You can clean it yourself!
Here is how you can clean the glass by yourself
- Remove paper or any media from the output tray in your Xerox machine
- Open the document cover
- With a soft, lint-free (preferably microfiber) cloth, wipe the surfaces until the glass surfaces are clean, smudge-free, and dry
- Also, ensure that you wipe the white underside of the document cover
If the smudges are hard-to-remove, use a crumpled-up piece of paper to clean them.
